What was the best part? I don't know, maybe Chobe with its countless elephants, but everything else was great too. Etosha was perhaps a little disappointing, both in terms of the landscape, rather boring, and the animals were also scarce at times. But as in all parks, it's the right place at the right time or not. The evening at the Jordon winery/restaurant was also wonderful and extremely tasty. And the second highlight was the bush lodge ..... We saw almost all the animals there and were thrilled - the many lovely little things in the lodge, such as the fact that the fireplace is on in the evening when you come into the "tent", or that you are greeted with delicious hot chocolate on the evening outing, that the bath water is running when you come back from the evening outing... everything was great. Eating at the big table together with the other guests - very nice and the food there was also very tasty ... and everywhere the people were totally friendly. "Not to make any assumptions: for me as a 68-year-old who has certainly seen and experienced much more than the "normal consumer" of the same age, it was a fantastic trip that was well worth the money. The accommodation and food gave no cause for complaint and were really good. The services provided by your guide Mr. Lindstedt during the trip from Johannesburg to Cape Town were exceptional and certainly went above and beyond the contracted services. As a tour guide, he was available to us at all times, including his evenings and free time. He always drove us to restaurants when dinner was not included in the program. He suggested and carried out small detours to special places, even though they were additional burdens, but served to the advantage and enrichment of the travel experiences for the participants. Furthermore, with his extensive knowledge, he was able to tell us a lot of historical facts about South Africa so that we could better understand the processes and conditions in the country. I am sure that I was able to experience more on this trip with Mr. Lindstedt as a tour guide than other participants on the same trip with a different tour guide.
