Day 1: MAUN AND THE OKAVANGO DELTA
Today you’ll arrive in Maun, the heart of Botswana and the gateway to the legendary Okavango Delta. After landing, you’ll be warmly welcomed by an English-speaking driver and transferred to your hotel. Maun was founded in 1915 as the capital of the Batawana people and has since developed into a lively small town—an exciting blend of modern life and traditional charm. The town lies on the southern edge of the delta and serves as a central starting point for safaris into one of Africa’s most fascinating aquatic landscapes. Here you can settle in at your own pace, acclimate after your journey, and get in the mood for the adventure ahead. Enjoy the afternoon however you like—whether it’s a stroll through the small town, a sundowner, or simply relaxing in anticipation of your safari experiences over the next few days.

Day 2: OKAVANGO DELTA
At 9 a.m., your German-speaking tour guide will greet you at the hotel. Together with your group, you’ll set out on the first leg of your journey: heading toward the Okavango Delta, where your safari begins. You’ll arrive at the newly built lodge on the edge of the delta, idyllically situated amid wetlands and unspoiled nature. The comfortable tented chalets, built on elevated wooden decks, feature large mosquito nets and fans that not only provide pleasant coolness but also a genuine “Out of Africa” feeling. From your private terrace, you’ll enjoy a sweeping view of the green marshlands—a perfect spot to enjoy your first wildlife sightings right from your room. In the afternoon, you’ll set out on the first game drive of your trip. In open-air safari vehicles, you’ll head into the wilderness, where, with a little luck, you may already spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, or antelopes in their natural habitat. You might even spot a lion in the shade or a hippo in the river. Back at the lodge, the day winds down with a cozy dinner and the sounds of the African night—welcome to the bush paradise!

Day 3: OKAVANGO DELTA
Today, an unforgettable experience awaits you in the Okavango Delta: a ride in a mokoro—a traditional dugout canoe that winds through the delta’s reed-lined channels. Sit back and enjoy the absolute silence as the water gently lapped beneath the mokoro and your experienced “poler” (helmsman) shares his extensive knowledge of the delta’s diverse flora and fauna. This mode of transportation allows you to observe animals up close without disturbing the tranquility of nature. After this peaceful journey, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch and can relax with a refreshing drink. In the afternoon, you have a choice: Would you like to go on an exciting game drive in an open-top 4x4, or would you prefer to enjoy a boat safari to experience the delta from a different perspective? Both options promise breathtaking wildlife sightings, where, with a little luck, you might spot elephants, crocodiles, or even predators. You’ll round out the day with a traditional “sundowner”—a refreshing drink served in the heart of the wilderness as the sun slowly sinks below the horizon and the African evening
sets in.

Day 4: MOREMI
Today, we continue on to a camp near the Moremi Game Reserve, one of the best places for wildlife viewing in the Okavango Delta. Even on the drive there, you’ll be treated to fantastic views of the African wilderness time and again. With a little luck, you’ll be able to observe herds of elephants, antelopes, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Your camp is located at a large watering hole that is regularly visited by wildlife—which means you’ll have the opportunity to observe animals without even having to leave the camp. Simply sit on the terrace and enjoy the spectacle up close as the animals gather to drink or bathe. In the afternoon, a game drive in an open-top SUV awaits you, taking you even deeper into the wilderness. Here you’ll have the chance to encounter animals as they graze, play, or go about their lives in their natural habitat—a perfect opportunity to spot more of the Big Five or perhaps even witness a predator hunt.

Day 5: MOREMI
Today we head to the Moremi Game Reserve, one of the most renowned and wildlife-rich areas in the Okavango Delta. During a full-day game drive in an open-top SUV, we hope to enjoy fantastic wildlife sightings and unforgettable experiences in the heart of the African wilderness. This region was once the richest hunting ground of the Batswana tribe before it was designated a protected area; today, it is one of the best places for wildlife viewing. Here, we’ll explore the park’s fascinating wildlife—from elephants roaming the forests to hippos and buffalo frolicking in the waters, to majestic lions roaming the savanna. With a bit of luck, we’ll spot many more animal species on our game drives—and perhaps even a rare predator on the hunt. Here, you’ll experience the wilderness in its purest form—up close and personal.

Day 6: SAVUTI
After the Moremi Game Reserve, we continue north to the legendary Savuti section of Chobe National Park—an area known for its dramatic landscape and high concentration of predators. The vast plains, lined with acacia trees, provide the perfect habitat for lions, leopards, and many other wild animals. Our game drives take us along the famous Savuti Channel, a hotspot for predators and a true paradise for wildlife viewing. Here, we hope for exciting sightings of lions lurking in the vastness of the bush or hyenas roaming the savanna. But we’ll also encounter elephants, antelopes, and other animals on our drives through this fascinating, wild area. In the evening, we’ll reach our mobile tented camp, set up in the middle of the wilderness. After a delicious dinner under the African starry sky, we can wind down the day with the characteristic sounds of the African bush. As we drift off to sleep, we might hear the distant roar of a lion or the calls of hyenas—an unforgettable experience.

Day 7: SAVUTI
Today we’ll spend the entire day on safari, thoroughly exploring the wildlife-rich Savuti area. The region is at its best, especially during the dry season: the short grass and lack of vegetation draw the animals to the few remaining water sources, meaning we can expect incredible wildlife sightings. The dry conditions make Savuti’s landscape even more striking. The skeletal trees scattered across the land tower against the deep-blue sky, offering stunning photographic opportunities—especially as the animals retreat into the shady forest during twilight and the golden, red rays of the African sunset stir up the dust. During our game drive, we’re not only on the lookout for large predators like lions and leopards, but we also discover the savanna wildlife that populates the landscape. Twilight also offers the perfect opportunity to experience these animals in their natural habitat.

Day 8: KASANE
Today’s drive from Savuti to Kasane is more than just a simple transfer—it’s another exciting safari! Along the way, we’ll pass through an area teeming with wildlife. We’ll stop frequently to observe the animals native to this region. Whether it’s elephants, buffalo, or other fascinating creatures—there’s always something new to discover. In the afternoon, we’ll finally arrive at our lodge in Kasane. Here you’ll have the opportunity to relax and wind down the day with a refreshing dip in the pool. As the sun slowly sets, you can reflect on the day’s many experiences over a delicious dinner at the lodge and look forward to the next adventures.

Day 9: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
The Chobe River, which flows leisurely along the northern border of Chobe National Park, is known for its huge herds of elephants, which can regularly be found here along the banks. This morning, we’ll go on a four-wheel-drive game drive through Chobe National Park, where we can observe the mighty elephants, buffalo, and many other animals in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, a special highlight awaits us: a sundowner safari boat cruise on the Chobe River. This trip gives us a unique opportunity to watch the massive herds of elephants return to the river to quench their thirst—an unforgettable moment as they majestically wade through the water while enjoying the sunset in the
background.

Day 10: VICTORIA FALLS
Today we cross the border into Zimbabwe to visit one of the world’s most impressive natural wonders—Victoria Falls, also known as “Mosi-oa-Tunya” or “The Smoke That Thunders.” These majestic waterfalls are among the largest and most famous on Earth, offering a spectacular sight of thundering water and mighty spray. Surrounded by a lush, green rainforest nourished by the spray from the falls, Victoria Falls is home to a fascinating variety of birds and a rich array of flora and fauna. The sight of the water plunging into the depths with a thunderous roar allows us to experience the unbridled power of nature up close. Those who wish can enjoy a very special experience in the evening: an optional dinner at a traditional restaurant that is second to none in Victoria Falls. Here, off the beaten path, an authentic culinary journey of a special kind awaits you, featuring unusual combinations of Zimbabwean ingredients and traditional dishes. Enjoy not only excellent food but also a unique atmosphere that reflects the charm and culture of Zimbabwe.

Day 11: VICTORIA FALLS
Today is yours to spend as you wish, experiencing exciting optional activities to suit your mood. How about admiring Victoria Falls from a whole new perspective? On a helicopter flight, you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the breathtaking panorama of the falls and the surrounding landscape. For the adventurous, a rafting tour on the wild rapids of the Zambezi River is a great option—an unforgettable adrenaline rush! Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can visit a traditional local village and learn more about the lives of the people in this fascinating region. Alternatively, you can drift along the Zambezi River on a relaxing boat ride and enjoy the majestic river at your own pace. Your tour guide will say goodbye to you today.
