On our boutique round trips, you travel as a couple, family or group of friends with your own private tour guide (either German or English-speaking). Almost all trips can be started daily. You will stay overnight in selected upscale accommodation. Of course, these tours can be adapted to your individual wishes at any point.

Day 1: WELCOME TO THE SUN ISLAND OF MAURITIUS (approx. 50km)

Welcome to the sunny island of Mauritius!
You will be greeted personally at the airport by a member of our agency staff (English-speaking). Continue by private transfer to your accommodation in the southwest of the island.
Once you arrive at the hotel, the attentive staff will anticipate your every wish. Relax from the journey and let yourself be pampered.

OVERNIGHT STAY WITH HALF BOARD - LAKAZ CHAMAREL EXCLUSIVE LODGE (Standard Suite) IN CHAMAREL

Where you stay
The small, family-run Lakaz Chamarel Lodge is located in the southwest of the island and is surrounded by the beautiful evergreen Black River National Park. It is located directly at the foot of the Piton Canot mountain, at an altitude of approx. 400 meters. You can reach the village of Chamarel on foot in around 10 minutes. Here you will find a small selection of restaurants serving typical local dishes. The bays of Le Morne and Baie du Cap with their beautiful beaches can be reached in approx. 25 minutes by car. A hotel shuttle runs to the beach 3 times a day, subject to availability. The airport is around 60 minutes' drive away.
The dreamy complex has been harmoniously integrated into its surroundings and is surrounded by 10 hectares of tropical gardens.
Here you will find a relaxation lounge, a library, a bar and two swimming pools. The open-plan restaurant will spoil you with local and international delicacies.
All 20 rooms and suites are lovingly decorated according to an individually chosen theme. The themes reflect the diverse cultural influences of the island. The Superior Suites (approx. 80 sqm) have an open-plan bathroom with outdoor shower, hairdryer, ceiling fan, minibar, coffee/tea maker, safe, telephone and a veranda with a view of the shared pool, which invites you to linger. The Mountain & Garden Pool Suites (90sqm) have their own pool with the same facilities and the Sea View Pool Suites (105sqm) have their own pool and sea view.
The lodge has a small spa where massages are offered (for a fee). There are also group yoga classes 4 times a week - private classes can also be booked for a fee. There is also a small fitness room and bicycles for hire.

Day 2: GRAND BASSIN, TEA & COLORFUL EARTH
In the morning, you will meet your German-speaking tour guide and begin your day trip to the authentic south of the island.
The Bois Cheri tea plantation, known as one of the largest tea producers in Mauritius, is your first destination. After an interesting guided tour of the factory, it's your turn! On the terrace of "Le Chalet" with its enchanting view over the plantations, you can sample a wide variety of teas.
After the tea tour, we continue to the Grand Bassin, also known as Ganga Talao, the largest natural lake in Mauritius. This sacred lake is surrounded by temples dedicated to various Hindu deities, making it an important pilgrimage site for the Hindu community in Mauritius. Grand Bassin is a place of devotion and contemplation, attracting both locals and visitors seeking spiritual solace and cultural immersion.
After this more spiritual stop, you make your way to the village of Chamarel in the southwest of the island, known for its natural attractions. You will visit the "Seven Colored Earth" of Chamarel, which is a geological curiosity. After a short walk, the vegetation opens up to reveal a completely bare, vegetation-free lava formation and the slightly undulating rock actually glows in different shades of color.
The tour continues to the 'Rhumerie De Chamarel'. Here you will take part in a guided tour of the distillery and then be invited to a rum tasting.
In the late afternoon, you return to the Lakaz Chamarel Exclusive Lodge.

Day 3: MOUNTAINS, MOUNTAINS, MOUNTAINS
Today is at your leisure!
Enjoy the tranquillity of the lodge or take the free shuttle to the beach.

Optionally, you have the opportunity to go on a wonderful guided hike (in English) along the various waterfalls in the beautiful greenery of Mauritius. Along the way, you will enjoy the breathtaking views of the magnificent landscape and have the opportunity to take a dip in the cool water of the pools - so be sure to bring your swimsuit! You conclude the excursion with a typical Mauritian picnic and return to your accommodation after around 4 hours.

Day 4: PORT LOUIS
After breakfast, check out and reach the capital Port Louis after about an hour's drive.
Here you will immerse yourself in a very lively city, pass the vegetable market and then stroll through the streets like the locals. Try out the small fruit vendors and other local delicacies.
Lunch is taken in picnic mode so that you can discover the local flavors of the local specialties. Meanwhile, keep your camera handy!
The second part of this tour takes you to the Hindu temple "Kaylasson", which is considered an important religious and cultural landmark of the island. The temple is known for its vibrant architecture and intricate carvings that attract worshippers and visitors alike.
You then check into your next accommodation.

How to stay
The Address Boutique Hotel is located between the lagoon and the river in the heart of the residential village of Port Chambly, just 10 minutes from Port Louis. Day 5: THE RAW NORTH
Welcome to the rugged north of the island, rich in history and cultural heritage.
First, visit the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden in Pamplemousses, the oldest botanical garden in the southern hemisphere. The 26-hectare site is home to more than 500 plant species, including 80 different types of palm trees. Some of the trees are already 300 years old. Incidentally, rapid changes between rain and sunshine are not uncommon here, as the garden is located on a weather boundary in the lee of the highland mountains.
You will then discover L'Aventure du Sucre, the only museum in Mauritius dedicated to the history and importance of the sugar industry on the island. After a guided tour through the interactive exhibition, you can now taste it for yourself.
After just a few kilometers, you will reach the "Château Labourdonnais", a historic colonial-style mansion known for its elegant architecture, lush gardens and rich history dating back to the 19th century. Time for a break! Located near the castle, the gastronomic cuisine of "La Table du Château" will surprise you with citrus fruits, herbs and spices, as well as exotic fruit flavors.
Then you reach the fishing village of Cap Malheureux with its impressive Notre Dame Auxiliatric church right by the sea. The landmark of Mauritius is a popular photo stop.
In the late afternoon, you check into your new accommodation, where you say goodbye to your tour guide.
