Flying safaris are the ideal way to combine different highlights of a country or region in a relatively short time. The routes are covered by chartered light aircraft. These trips can start daily and can be adapted to your wishes at any point; there is no continuous tour guide.

You will stay in small to medium-sized, predominantly privately run guest houses and lodges that offer you an authentic South African experience. Each guest house is unique, which means that the rooms are not completely identical and therefore have a special charm. Many small guest houses are former homes - you will literally feel "at home" here. The warm hospitality of your hosts and the attention to detail in the furnishings make a stay in one of our personally selected guesthouses and lodges a unique experience.

Day 1: Welcome to Namibia
Welcome to the capital Windhoek. The city is situated in the Windhoek Basin, the approximate geographical center of the country, bordered by the Eros Mountains in the east, the Auas Mountains in the south and the Khomas Highlands in the west. The name Windhoek is Afrikaans and is derived from "windy corner". You will be greeted by your pilot at the airport in Windhoek. The privately chartered Cessna will take you directly to the southwest of the country. You will fly close to the famous Sossusvlei. Once there, you will be driven to Little Kulala Lodge and then have time to take part in one of the activities on offer, such as a sundowner drive (English-speaking, carried out with additional people).

Overnight stay with full board - Little Kulala Lodge (Suite)

Where to stay:
Little Kulala Lodge is situated in the middle of the Namib Desert in the west of the Kulala Wilderness Reserve and is one of the most luxurious lodges close to Sossusvlei. The lodge offers impressive views of the red sand dunes of Sossusvlei, as well as the magnificent mountain landscapes and open plains. A great advantage of the lodge is that it has its own gate into the Namib Naukluft Park, allowing you to be in the dune landscape at sunrise.
The spacious, thatched-roof main area of the accommodation was modeled in its circular architecture on the mystical "fairy circles" that can be found everywhere in the Namib Desert. A restaurant, a bar and a lounge area are located here. To the left of the main building is an open wooden deck with a pool and sunbathing area. The 11 chalets have a bathroom/WC, air conditioning, fan, plunge pool and a veranda. Nature lovers can spend a night on the roof under the stars, for which special beds are provided.

Day 2: Sossusvlei
In the morning you set off early for the highest dunes in the world. The Sossusvlei is a clay depression surrounded by dunes. It is only filled with water in years when the Tsauch River, which flows into it, receives enough rain in its catchment area. As far as the eye can see, dunes stretch up to over 300 meters high with sharp contours, smooth sandy surfaces and majestic "peaks" in the middle of a shimmering pearl band of salt pans. You will also visit the Dead Vlei. Characteristic are the many dead acacia trees that dried up when the Tsauchab, an ephemeral dry river, changed its course. The trees rot very slowly. Some of these trees are over 500 years old. Before you leave the park, take a detour to Sesriem Canyon (English-speaking, guided tour with additional persons).

Day 3: Seagull Bay
After another activity (hike, nature tour, fat-bike tour, quad-bike tour (English-speaking, carried out with additional persons), you continue north. You will fly over the southern part of the Namib, along the coast to Swakopmund, where your plane will be refueled and then fly on towards Möwe Bay. You will see the old diamond camps, shipwrecks, the Long Wall of Sandwhich Harbour, the salt fields and seal colonies at Walvis Bay as well as the Skeleton Coast from above. In the afternoon, you can take part in one of the activities such as a sundowner cruise (English-speaking, with additional persons).

Overnight stay with full board - Shipwreck Lodge (Shipwreck Room)

How to stay:
The luxurious Shipwreck Lodge, newly built in 2018, is located near Möwe Bay on the Skeleton Coast with incomparable views of the Atlantic Ocean. The extraordinary lodge is built in the style of typical shipwrecks using natural materials in earthy tones. In the main area there is a restaurant, a bar and a lounge with a fireplace, which ensures a sense of well-being, especially in the evening hours when the harsh climate with strong winds and fog of the Skeleton Coast can be felt. Comfortable sofas and fashionable hanging chairs invite you to relax. The 10 modern chalets have electricity generated by environmentally friendly solar energy and their own en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet. The large windows offer breathtaking views of the desert and the Atlantic Ocean. Other amenities include a desk, a seating area, a tea and coffee station, a safe, a private terrace and a wood-burning stove. Each room has free Wi-Fi.

Day 4: Skeleton Coast
On this day you have the opportunity to take part in activities offered by the lodge. Enjoy a trip to see the seals and flamingos, passing a few shipwrecks on the way along the coast. Or take a 4×4 trip to the Hoarusib Riverbed with a detour to Clay Castle, a natural clay castle formation, where lions and hyenas are often seen, and with a bit of luck, desert elephants will also make an appearance. You can also enjoy lunch on the beach. (English-speaking, tour with additional persons)

Day 5: Etosha National Park
Today you leave Shipwreck Lodge after the morning activity and fly to Etosha National Park. Due to the great diversity of the landscape, many different animal species can be found here. Etosha National Park is home to four of the Big 5. Elephants and lions are common, while the hard-to-see leopard is found in the more densely vegetated areas. One of the main reasons to visit Etosha National Park is the healthy population of black rhino. In the late afternoon, you will take part in a sundowner drive into the Onguma Reserve and have the opportunity to do some game viewing (English-speaking, with additional persons). In the evening, a delicious dinner awaits you at your beautiful lodge.

Overnight stay with full board - Onguma The Fort (Bush Suite)

Where to stay:
Onguma The Fort in the private Onguma Game Reserve faces the famous Etosha National Park and enchants its guests with the most beautiful sunsets in Namibia. Built as a fort, the lodge is one of the most extraordinary luxury accommodations in the country. The accommodation combines African elements with Moroccan and Indian influences and offers a fantastic view of the Etosha salt pans and a lively waterhole. A large door leads into the beautifully decorated lounge with fireplace and then into the open-air dining room. From here you continue onto a wooden veranda from where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the waterhole. Two large pools as well as a sun deck and a well-stocked wine cellar are also among the advantages of the lodge. Free Wi-Fi is available in the main area and in the guest suites. The suites are each 50 meters apart and offer complete privacy. They are equipped with air conditioning, a fireplace and en-suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers.

Day 6: Etosha National Park
Today you will take part in two game viewing activities (English-speaking, carried out with additional persons). In the morning, you will drive to Etosha National Park, which is unique in Africa. The main feature of the park is the salt pan, which can even be seen from space. Despite this, there is an abundant wildlife population that congregates at waterholes, so animal sightings are almost guaranteed. In addition, Etosha National Park is one of the most accessible reserves in Namibia and Southern Africa. You can make breathtaking animal observations from the vehicle. In the late afternoon, you will take part in a game drive in the Onguma Reserve. The Onguma Game Reserve is located east of the Etosha Pan and is considered one of Namibia's best kept secrets. It borders the Fisher's Pan and covers a protected area of 34,000 hectares, which is home to over 30 mammal and 300 bird species, including kudu, giraffe, eland, oryx, hartebeest, zebra and impala. Here you can experience Africa in its

Day 7: Okonjima
Today it's time to say goodbye to the wild animals in Etosha National Park. You leave the park and head south. You drive via the mining town of Tsumeb to Okonjima Nature Reserve. This afternoon you reach the 20,000-hectare Okonjima Game Reserve, which lies to the west of the Waterberg Plateau Park. In the Herero language, the name means "place of the baboons". Okonjima is home to the AfriCat Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and conservation of endangered big cats. Today you will take part in an included activity in the game reserve, for example a game drive on which you can track down leopards or hyenas. Of course, Okonjima also offers other activities (optional): For example, visit the AfriCat Carnivore Care & Information Center, which offers you a valuable insight into the work of the AfriCat Foundation. On the guided Bushman Trail, an easy and informative walk in the bush, you follow in the footsteps of the San. You will experience and learn a lot about the survival methods and traditions of these Bushmen and indigenous people of Africa. After dinner, you have the opportunity to take part in an exciting night drive to see the nocturnal animals. For hiking enthusiasts, Okonjima offers various hiking trails up to 8 km long to explore nature on your own. Bird lovers will also get their money's worth here: with over 250 bird species, some of which are endemic (English-speaking, guided tour with additional people).

Overnight stay with full board - Okonjima Bush Suite (Bush Suite)

How to stay:
The Bush Suite is situated about 3.5km from the main camp, Plains Camp, and offers your guests total privacy.
