ABOUT THIS TRIP
With the Kruger Park, the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park and the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, the north of South Africa has the largest and most famous Big Five national parks in the country and therefore offers the best safari experiences. But the scenic highlights of the Panorama Route at the transition between the Highveld (plateau of Johannesburg) and the Lowveld (lowlands towards Mozambique) are also breathtaking.
Our chauffeur-driven tours are the cheaper alternative to privately guided tours. They can also be started daily and are as individual as rental car tours, with the difference that you don't have to drive yourself. Private English-speaking transfers take you from station to station where you can take part in English-speaking activities and excursions. Our chauffeur-driven tours can start from two people, but are also ideal for larger groups (e.g. families, friends) who want to keep to themselves. We are happy to modify this tour itinerary according to your individual wishes. Please contact us for your personalized offer. We recommend starting this tour in the South African winter from April to October.

DAY 1: JOHANNESBURG
ONEWAY FLIGHT TO HOEDSPRUIT
A domestic or regional flight is the fastest and most convenient way to cover longer distances in southern Africa. Thanks to various competitors, there is a dense network of scheduled flights to a total of more than 25 airports. All local airlines fly with modern aircraft that meet the highest safety standards and are of course regularly maintained, just like in Europe.
The flight is operated in Economy Class. Depending on the airline, only one piece of checked baggage weighing 20kg to 23kg and one piece of hand baggage are permitted per person. You will receive details with your travel documents. Additional baggage, seat reservations and other services can be booked at very reasonable prices. We recommend arriving at international airports such as Windhoek, Victoria Falls, Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town at least two hours before departure; at smaller regional airports, 90 minutes is sufficient.
DAY 1: HOEDSPRUIT
ONEWAY TRANSFER TO KARONGWE
This private transfer is operated by a qualified English-speaking driver. The vehicle is air-conditioned and corresponds to your private group size, there are no other passengers. The transfer company has all the necessary licenses and insurance for its vehicles and drivers to guarantee legal passenger transportation (no Uber or similar).
In the case of a transfer from your accommodation, you will be picked up at the entrance of your guesthouse, lodge or hotel at the agreed time. You will be driven to your destination and dropped off at your accommodation or at the airport.
For transfers from the airport, you will be met personally in the arrivals hall. Please look out for a person carrying a sign with your name on it. If an explicit pick-up point or meeting point is mentioned in your tour book, please go there. You will be driven to your destination and dropped off at your accommodation.
DAY 1 TO DAY 3:
HOEDSPRUIT
Your destination is the private Karongwe Game Reserve in Kruger National Park, which is home to the Big Five as well as all other African wildlife. In contrast to the state-run Kruger Park, only overnight guests have access to the private reserves. These are therefore much better suited to a short stay for unique game viewing. The small lodges also offer a very personal atmosphere. Specially trained rangers ensure a first-class nature experience.
The exclusive Becks Safari Lodge is the flagship of the Karongwe Game Reserve and consists of only ten spacious and detached safari suites, which combine luxury with modern design and face the Makhutswi River or a waterhole. The suites have a shower/WC with separate bathtub, air conditioning, tea/coffee making facilities, a minibar, a mosquito net over the bed, a safe and a veranda with an outdoor shower and seating. The lodge offers an oversized infinity pool with viewing deck, a lounge, a bar, a restaurant, a boma (traditional campfire dining area) and free Wi-Fi.
For each overnight stay you take part in two guided game drives in an open off-road vehicle (English-speaking, participation with other people), which take place in the afternoon before dinner and in the morning before breakfast.

You stay in one of five private Asian-style villas, which are equipped with a bathroom/WC, air conditioning, a minibar, a TV, a safe, a tea/coffee maker, a lounge area with a fireplace and an outdoor terrace with a private plunge pool and views of the natural surroundings.
